Willow Creek Trail is an easy 2.6-mile dirt loop located near Willow Creek in the Black Hills. This scenic trail winds through forested areas of birch, spruce, and pine, offering beautiful views of the Black Elk Wilderness and the Norbeck Wildlife Preserve. The hike typically takes 1–2 hours and connects to both the Lost Cabin Trail and Black Elk Peak Trail. Hiking the loop clockwise is recommended, ending near a small waterfall and shallow pool—perfect for cooling off after your hike. Dogs on leash are allowed, and hikers may occasionally encounter horseback riders from a nearby horse camp.

Lovely shade, easy creek access for the kids. Parking fills fast by 10am.

Rock in sections; bring poles. Worth it for the canyon views.
