Spearfish Falls Trail is a short, scenic hike located in Spearfish Canyon, South Dakota, and is one of the most popular waterfall hikes in the northern Black Hills. The trail begins near Latchstring Restaurant and descends gradually through forested terrain with a series of switchbacks and multiple creek crossings. Along the way, hikers are treated to views of towering limestone cliffs and lush canyon scenery. Benches near the base of the trail provide a perfect place to rest and enjoy the impressive waterfall as it cascades over the canyon walls. Suitable for most ages and skill levels, Spearfish Falls Trail is a must-do hike for anyone exploring Spearfish Canyon.

Lovely shade, easy creek access for the kids. Parking fills fast by 10am.

Rock in sections; bring poles. Worth it for the canyon views.
