Experience
This trail is a hike up to the summit of Bear Butte. Trees are rare so this trail is best hiked early in the day or on cooler days. This is a good hike if you are up for a challenge. There are some benches along the way to rest. Watch your step as rattlesnakes are common in this area. A picturesque view is waiting at the top to make this trip worthwhile.

Lovely shade, easy creek access for the kids. Parking fills fast by 10am.

Rock in sections; bring poles. Worth it for the canyon views.
