Coon Hollow Loop

Coon Hollow Trail is a well-maintained single-track hiking trail south of Rockerville, South Dakota, offering an accessible and scenic Black Hills hike. The packed dirt trail connects to the Flume Trail, making it easy to add mileage. A designated parking lot allows hikers to start from the east for a short, steeper climb and quicker views, or from the west for a gentler approach. The trail features smooth tread, unique rock-paved sections ideal for photos, and is non-technical and family-friendly, with only a brief steep section when starting from the east.
