Legion Lake Shore Trail is a scenic loop hike in Custer State Park that can be traveled in either direction. No matter which way you go, the trail descends to its lowest point on the far side of the loop before climbing back toward the trailhead. Along the ridge, hikers are rewarded with impressive views stretching south toward Devils Tower. With gentle elevation changes and beautiful scenery, Legion Lake Shore Trail is a great option for a relaxing yet rewarding Black Hills hike.
