SUMMARY:Coon Hollow 10k Trail Run
DESCRIPTION:This race is a figure eight run on gravel road\, technical dirt single track\, and the historic flume trail. It’s called a 10k\, but the actual distance is closer to a 12k\, 7.5 miles. Elevation gain is close to 1200′\, most of which is packed into the first half of the race. Conserve energy early so you can finish hard in the flats. \nDirections: From Rapid City\, drive westbound on US16 to Rockerville (approx. 9 miles from Catron Blvd). Immediately after passing Rockerville turn right on Silver Mountain Road. Trailhead and start of race are ¼ mile off US16. Trailhead is small\, so please carpool if possible.

DESCRIPTION:The Big Hill Trail Run is an annual event held at the Big Hill Trailhead near Spearfish\, South Dakota. The 2026 race is scheduled for Sunday\, May 17\, with both 5K and 8-mile courses starting at 9:00 a.m. \nLocation and Directions: \nThe trailhead is located south of Spearfish.
